Spencer Finch
(New Haven, Connecticut, 1962- )
Lives and works in Brooklyn, New York

Much of Spencer Finch's work examines perception from both a biological and psychological point of view. His approach to making art is often referred to as 'conceptual' in that his artwork often exists as much in the viewer's mind as it does in the viewer's eye. In the case of this drawing, both the eye and the mind are one in the same since what we are looking at is what the artist saw as he looked at the paper.
